If a Gas Geyser is installed outside must be installed with a weather box to protect the appliance against extreme weather and damage. These boxes are designed to allow the hot air that is released by the unit to escape so that they do not over heat and cut out. In extreme weather areas we recommend using a flue. If your geyser uses a flue then you will need a cover that has a flue roof.

GAS GEYSER SIZES DEPEND ON THE FLOW RATE PER MINUTE. FLOW RATE, OR FLOW DEMAND, IS THE TOTAL NUMBER OF LITERS PER MINUTE THAT YOUR TAPS OR OUTLETS USE WHEN THEY’RE TURNED ON. YOU CAN CALCULATE YOUR FLOW RATE USING THE SIMPLE BUCKET TEST.
CALCULATE YOUR FLOW RATE BY DOING THE BUCKET TEST!!
Place a bucket under your largest cold-water tap.
Turn to full and run for 30 seconds.
Measure how much water is in the bucket.
Multiply that measurement by 2 to find your flow rate in litres per minute.
For multiple use models repeat this process for each tap but make sure that all your taps are running at the same time.
Add all the flow rates together for your overall flow demand.
